A warm, transparent guide to how we care for your pets.
At PawBoo, we want every pet parent to feel completely at ease. These policies help us keep all pets safe, happy, and comfortable while creating a smooth, stress-free experience for you.
No Home Visits
We do not offer home visits or overnight stays at our location.
Meet & Greet (Optional)
A Meet & Greet is not required, but we’re always happy to schedule one if you’d like your pet to explore the space and get comfortable before their stay. Many pet parents find it helpful, but it’s completely optional.
Small Playgroups & Low-Stress Environment
We keep things calm and cozy here. Playgroups are intentionally small (usually 3–4 pups) so everyone gets plenty of attention and feels safe. No chaos, no overcrowding — just happy pets enjoying their day.
Behavior & Compatibility
To keep our home peaceful and safe for all pets, we’re only able to accept dogs who are:
- Friendly and non-aggressive
- Not excessive barkers
- Comfortable in a home environment
- Able to coexist calmly with small playgroups
We cannot accept dogs with a history of biting, aggression, or behaviors that create a stressful environment for other pets.
What to Bring
To help your pet feel comfortable and settled during their stay, please bring:
- Their regular food (pre‑portioned if possible)
- Leash + harness
- Medications or supplements (with clear instructions)
- Poop bags (optional but appreciated)
- A comfort item — blanket, toy, or something that smells like home
- Feeding instructions (amounts, timing, preferences)
- Vet contact information
- Emergency contact (someone local, if possible)
- Crate (only if your dog is crate‑trained and prefers it)
- Treats (optional — we also have plenty here)
- Puppy pads (if your dog is still learning or has special needs)
We provide everything else — beds, blankets, toys, bowls, filtered water, enrichment activities, and lots of love.
Health & Vaccinations
To keep all pets safe, we require:
- Rabies
- DHPP
- Bordetella
- Flea/tick prevention
Pets must be free of contagious illnesses and not recovering from recent surgery.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
We do our best to keep each day calm and organized for all the pets in our care. To help us plan the day smoothly, please arrive during your scheduled drop‑off or pick‑up window.
If you’re running early or a little behind, no stress at all — just send a quick text or message to let us know. We’re very flexible and happy to adjust as long as we have a heads‑up.
Photo & Video Updates
We love sharing your pet’s adventures! By booking with us, you’re giving permission for us to take photos and videos for updates and occasional marketing.
If you prefer not to have your pet featured publicly, just let us know — we’re happy to honor that.
Emergency Vet Care
If your pet ever needs urgent medical attention, we’ll act quickly and take them to the nearest available veterinarian. All vet costs are the responsibility of the owner, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
No Unannounced Visits
For safety and privacy, all drop-offs and pick-ups must be scheduled. Please text or call before arriving.
Payment & Cancellations
Payment
Payment is due at booking or drop-off — whichever is easiest for you.
Holiday and peak‑season bookings require a 50% deposit to reserve your dates.
Cancellations
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled drop‑off will incur a $50 fee, as it’s unlikely we can fill the spot on short notice.
For holiday and peak‑season stays, deposits are non‑refundable due to high demand.
Responsibility for Damages
Owners are responsible for any damages or excessive cleaning caused by their pet. We’ll always communicate with you right away if anything comes up.
Abandonment Policy
We take every pet’s wellbeing seriously. If a pet is not picked up within 48 hours of the scheduled checkout time and we haven’t heard from the owner, the pet will be considered abandoned under Washington State guidelines.
We will make multiple attempts to contact you. If we cannot reach you, we may:
- Transfer your pet to a local shelter or rescue
- Contact animal control
- Arrange emergency boarding at your expense
All outstanding balances, including additional days of care or emergency fees, remain the owner’s responsibility. This policy ensures every pet stays safe and never ends up in an uncertain situation.
